Once upon a time, holiday tale about the angels

Once upon a time, holiday tale about the angels

Once upon a time, in the heart of one of Budapest's districts, there was a maternity home where the twelve families living there always found peace and security.

The institution is run by experienced, skilled professionals - also known as angels - to provide families with all the help and support they need in their lives. As November approaches, the children eagerly prepare for the celebrated days of December, eagerly awaiting Santa Claus. The Santa Claus celebration was a great success, with Santa being greeted with many poems, dances, and beautiful drawings, and the children did not forget to thank him for the gifts.

Following the Santa Claus celebration, the Advent anticipation began, so every evening after storytime, there was an advent treat drawing. The children also made drawings for the Christmas drawing competition, with the Christmas tree present in almost every drawing. Once again, the "angel hairdressers" visited us and made beautiful hairstyles for everyone, and as an extra surprise, they brought gifts for every child.

This year, the traditional family Christmas photoshoot was not missed, which followed the visit of the "angel hairdressers," and beautiful pictures of the families were taken again.

The families decorated the Christmas tree of the maternity home together, which was a great joy for them, as many of them had never been part of such a touching and peaceful holiday preparation before.

This year's Christmas celebration was very intimate and heartfelt, with every child and many mothers also "performing" with songs and poems. After the festive performance, we set the tables with all kinds of delicious food and drinks. Our guests, the employees of KNP LAW - International Law Firm, brought surprises and joy to the families, as they had previously found out who would appreciate what gift the most, and the guests filled personalized Christmas packages with these gifts, wishing each other blessed holidays. The giving of gifts did not end there, as the families also received huge packages from dm (drogerie markt) with cosmetics, toiletries, and goodies, and the staff of the Budavári Hilton - a large hotel - also surprised the children with toys and gifts.

Thanks to all the generous donors for their donations!

For the second time, our national leader, Major Christine, honored us with her presence to celebrate with us. She delivered a touching Christmas message to us, which touched and warmed our hearts.

Our story does not end with Christmas; the employees of the House of Light continue their work tirelessly, carrying out their duties not only during the holidays but also afterwards, every day.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28
